"Education"equips the young, the future generation, with life skills. The most fundamental of those skills is found in the rich culture our ancestors left. "Education"is passing culture onto the next generation and encouraging that generation to continue the rich traditions of our ancestors while making our society a better place.
In the spring of 2000, we made some changes within the Faculty of Education at Iwate University, an institution with a tradition of providing the teaching profession with some of its best. More than ever before, we aim to provide an education where students are cultural ambassadors with practical instructional skills. We also aim to develop future teachers who will be active members of society by not only participating in school education but also life-long education. With a greater comprehensive learning environment, we look forward to meeting you and encouraging your enthusiastic endeavors.
